A Magnificent Bird

A group of explorers trudged through the moss-covered Amazon forest. At approximately the 25th turn in the forest, they caught a glimpse of the sparkly wing of a bird. They wore mystified expressions on their faces when the bird emerged from hiding. It had turquoise-colored wings with glints of purple and silver. It had a majestic purple and silver body, and it had a curved head with a curved silver beak. After they recovered from their shock, they named her “Majesty”.
They took excellent care of Majesty, even though it was tedious work and painstakingly hard. She had to be fed only once a day, but exactly at midnight. She would only eat a 4-year old speckled trout by the light of the moon. After a month in the wilderness, Majesty laid a sparkly egg, which hatched a week later. They named the chick “Twinkle”. Nine days later, the explorers’ curious attitude turned into a greedy scheme. They decided to capture Majesty and Twinkle, sell them, and become rich. So that night, they approached the unsuspecting birds by the luminous moonlight.
At the time, Majesty and Twinkle were awaiting their sophisticated meal. Suddenly, an immobilizing dart landed on Twinkle’s leg. Majesty flew to the rescue! She made a threatening sound that scared the explorers away. Soon, Twinkle woke up. She was in good condition. She grew up perfectly well.
Meanwhile, nobody wanted to go to the forest after they heard the explorers account of what had happened. Twenty-three years later, one of the original explorers set foot in the birds' territory. He did this because an amateur explorer wanted to prove to the world that there was no danger in the forest. But he needed a guide,so he asked the retired explorer to do so. The old man reluctantly agreed. When they got there, what they saw was a grown-up Twinkle and her daughter “Crystal”.
Can you guess what happens next?

the bird is so cute. i love this story. i think that there should be more u-writes about animals. because i love animals. their colors are just so beautiful. i wish i could have a pet bird that looks like that. this bird looks so unrealistic. look at all of its beautiful colors that is just not somthing that you see on a bird everyday. we should really try to help them so that they can live so that we can show our kids. i dont want to hear stories about how there used to be birds but because we use too much gas we dont have them any more. somebody really has to do something for these poor little birds.
cool bird
magnificent
I can't belive that the bird will gone when we get old. I know why. Because we use a lot of gas,and we don't keep a lot of fresh air. WE ARE MAKING AIR DIRTY!I THINK WE NEED TO STOP IT!
