Noni, The Medicinal Super Fruit

Oct 17, 2011 By Deepthi, 12

I can imagine the thought buzzing around your head right now…Noni Fruit…never heard of it. That was my reaction when I first encountered this queer fruit. The Noni fruit is one of the many fruits and cruciferous plants used in the medical field of alternative medicine (also known as homeopathic). In this essay, I hope to enrich all the readers with information about this wonderful fruit that can create ground-breaking results in the medical field.

The Noni Fruit grows in the South Pacific Islands. This fruit contains properties that establish it as a ‘super fruit’. The Noni fruit’s physical appearance is not very iridescent. In my perspective, this exotic fruit resembles a warty pear. It has many brown spots throughout the body of the fruit and it has a dirty yellowish ecru color. When you waft the fruit under your nose, it most resembles the aroma of cheese! When tasting the fruit it tastes quite bitter with a cheese like flavor. The color of the juice is typically dark violet.

The benefits of the Noni fruit are tremendous! The Noni fruit contains many vital phytochemicals and antioxidants that aid in good health. The Noni fruit can benefit the outer and inner appearance of the body.

Looking at the benefits for the internal organs:

Cardiovascular System : The fruit prevents oxidization of fat cells. This keeps the heart healthy and the arteries healthy.

Pancreas : This fruit levels the blood pressure and has similar properties to insulin. This lowers the risk of getting diabetes and high blood pressure.

Health of the skin (dermatology) : Contains properties that helps capture essential vitamins from the UV rays into the skin and nourishes it.

Lowering Cholesterol : Reduces triglycerides, the chemical form of fat that constitutes most of cholesterol.

Many people hastily make an assumption that by drinking the Noni fruit concoction, they will be cured of their diseases. This is not true! Noni fruit can prevent against these diseases but the rest is determined by the person’s environment, lifestyle and heredity.

The Noni fruit is one of the amazing products of alternative medicine. Alternative medicine offers many extraneous and effectual herbs and fruits. So give it a thought…alternative medicine can actually be very powerful and has tremendous potential.

I have a question; if I already have diabetes (Type 1) would it help keep my blood sugars level? Or is it only if you have a working pancreas?

Editor   2 years ago

It does not lower blood sugar, according to the sites we checked. It may help with secondary infections from diabetes and cell degeneration with ageing. For those with working pancreas, it helps keep it in balance.

It has some carbohydrate content, so as with any natural supplements - always check with doctors first.
