Two Books I've Enjoyed Lately

Just so you know this book is not a horror book just because it has the words “the Slash” in it. When I started this book I wasn’t sure it was the book for me. But it turned out, it was very good - aside from the few swear words. It is about a high school kid named Adam Canfield who works for his school newspaper, the Slash. The Slash is a somewhat small newspaper but a good one. Adam Canfield is the co-editor of the newspaper and his friend Jennifer is the editor.
Through the book they investigate a zoning issue that could take away almost all basketball hoops. I know it seems kind of lousy but it heats up later in the story. Their rude principal tells them to stop investigating some money that was not put to good use. There are also some funny things in the book such as one particular phone call that was very entertaining.
I strongly urge you to read this book. It has quite a lot of pages, and will keep you busy reading for a while. I really enjoyed it and I hope at least one person that reads this article would read the book. And while you are at it, check out the website www.paperbackswap.com. It seems this might be a popular book. Somebody from a library wanted it and I know they were not from this state. They were in New York's Inner city.

And here's another. Just so you know, I am not feminine nor a wimpy kid.
My mother checked out a book at the library a few weeks ago. You might be deceived by the title and picture, but this is a very good book even for boys. When our family had finished reading a book about immigration we went on to a fiction book called, A Little Princess. At first I was skeptical and thought this was girly, but I was wrong. This is a very good book and I would highly recommend it.
Every night my sister, mother and I looked forward to our reading time to see what would happen next. There are some things you might have to research on the internet. The words are kind of middle English because it was written in 1905, but very well written. I really loved this book because it had amazing details. I especially loved the rat named melchisedec that the main character, Sarah Crewe, becomes friends with. Oops... better not give anything more away. Please read this book.
I am sorry my reviews were so short. But this pretty much sums up what I wanted to say and I hope you enjoyed it.
