Every summer, we invite children to join our team as a Young Editor. They can submit a sample of their writing, and we evaluate them and inform them if they are selected. They write main articles and we work with them closely over six weeks in summer.
Last year we had six children who joined the team, and this was a chat forum for them and us - the editors.
I was a young editor last year. It was an amazing experience. I wish you all luck for this summer! I look forward to reading your articles. Enjoy the experience! :)

Absolutely agree!! We are thrilled with the Young Editor group we have this year!
Everything is working for me and i am finding it quite convenient. I'm sure that this year will be better then last years because we have really good writers here! (BTW i read articles that you guys wrote and they were amazing!!!!!!!!!!)

The current system is fine by me too! I don't think Skype calls would work very well because it maybe 6 p.m in one place and 6a.m in another.

We have updated the SS with the first set of articles for the upcoming week (Week 1) -- marked in green. We have a few articles for the foll. week as well, but we are looking for writers for Week 1 first.
Please mark your names against articles that interest you. We would like you to submit by Thursday or Friday morning latest.
I think a Skype call would be cool! But what we are doing now works great for me.

Even if the present scheme continues to work well, we will look for a time when we can have one Skype call for the team members to hear each other.

As we start our first week, we would love to hear from you on what is working and what is not working.
We are hoping we can work with the shared spreadsheet and don't need a Skype call since our Young Editors are in diferent corners of the world. However, if this spreadsheet system is not working for you, or you prefer a weekly call, we would love to hear from you. We can then figure out what works best for the entire team.
