Most of the time the murderer is totally deranged and insane. In this case, if he wants to kill people, he will use guns, knives, and other tools. Even his hands. Sadly, these are always proofs why our current gun control policy isn't effective. But who knows how he got the gun? Friend? Maybe he wasn't insane when he purchased it. And yes, guns are the easy way to kill others. It's so impersonal, you don't even need to look into the victims eyes as you shoot.
As for my story, the key part is that the teenager was defending his younger brother. If the robber had any weapon and had found them, he possibly would have murdered or hurt both the children. That way they couldn't have called the police. Human life is the most valuable thing on earth. And it should be guarded. However, sometimes these things happen, which are out of our control.
Yes, that I do agree with. Guns shouldn't be sold to minors or people with criminal records. This won't solve everything, but it is probably the only thing we can do without giving up our rights.
Up here in Maine we have practically no Muslims. We never see any of the advertisements for Ramadan. But I did do a religion report on Islam once. It was quite interesting.
I'm a sophomore and my school starts up in two weeks. Don't worry about high school. It's amazing! It can take some time for a freshman to get used to the regular schedule, but I'm sure you'll do fine. The main thing is to respect the teachers and upper-classmen. Other than that, have fun! :)
I agree with the NRA. People kill people, not the guns. Guns are neutral. They can be used for good or bad. Sometimes insane people use them to shoot others, but they are also used to defend people. Recently, a NY robber sneaked into an apartment, hoping to steal some stuff. But owner's teenage son was taking care of his younger sibling, heard the robber, and held him at gunpoint until the police could arrive. He stopped a crime. This also happens in Arizona, where farmers must protect their lands from wild animals and illegal Mexican immigrants.
The truth is, we need to protect this right to guns. It's our only defense. The founding fathers knew that if we had no way to protect ourselves, the government could eventually turn us into slaves, like they did in Russia and many other socialist nations. Sadly, the cost for this is many innocent lives. But things happen and we must accept them. Life is not fair.

An amazing poem, Genna.

I think so. Also some young men were killed while defending their girlfriends. True men.

Kiwi.
It's nice to meet you all! :)
Henry Kissinger?
Definitely!! I totally agree! It also causes tax problems and census problems.
They commit crimes. They hack into government databases.
