I had a debate topic earlier at SCU that says that the US Federal Government should extend all of the Bush tax cuts. It was really hard for me, since I did not know what a fiscal cliff was and I was negating the topic. That meant I had to urge the judge to vote for higher taxes. I was saved by my teamate, who made the argument that we need the taxes to pay of the national debt, and thus we will stop the debt ceiling from raising and possibly even lower it.
